About

During a lunch time conversion at a Bennigan’s off of Dale Mabry Highway (which has closed its doors, eventually re-opening as a Green Iguana), Tom S. recommended that I create a web site to establish a web presence for myself. In late March 2008, I moved a blog (weblog) dealing with beginning musings about Ruby programming to a blog under my own name.

After attempting to write about Ruby and other programming topics, in late August 2009 I returned to writing about what I do professionally on a daily basis: programming in PHP.

The new layout / template / theme / whatever it’s called in WordPress is pretty slick

Thanks. The current WordPress theme that I’m using (as of the end of July 2009) can be found here.

    Hi Joe,

It looks like you know PHP. I need help with my dummy site. I want to show the time and date in the event link. I know I go to the settings in the events and enter PHP in the Events format. Here is the site: http://www.dm.ucf.edu/~yu261265/wordpress/. If you can help that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Yuri

    Yuri,

It looks like you’re using an Event Manager plugin for WordPress on the events link. I can’t find a setting to display the current date and time on the events page. It only allows you change the date format of previous or future events.

You could edit the event manager plugin PHP code to display the current date and time, but those changes will be lost each time you upgrade the plugin to a new version.
